We moved on the next day to begin our four-day International School of Scottish Country Dancing, the event that sparked this entire trip almost two years ago. It was held on the beautiful campus of King's College and Dalhousie University in Halifax.

Eleven us were from Texas: seven from Austin in addition to the Bruces and Simms. Here we are with Bill and Rosemary Galloway from the Austin dancers. It was a wonderful time of fun, learning, practicing, topped with dancing each evening. One of the day side-trips was a Harbour Tour aboard a stern paddlewheeler.
The Halifax harbour is second in size in the world only to that of Sydney, Australia, and second busiest to New York harbor.
The week's dancing and fellowship was capped off by a ball on Saturday night. But before that we had to have one more lobster!
It was a terrific week that lived up to our expectations in every way. One part of us wanted it to go on forever; the other, more sensible side, knew our feet needed to recover!
