Getting a much needed rest! What else can you say? It's lovely here, and the temps are better than a lot of other places this time of year. Like so many other areas, they could really use some rain. We're enjoying the time with our youngest daughter Sabrina. We've had chances to eat out together and just sit and chat, some things really overdue! Last Saturday we attended the Orange County summer dance (Scottish Country Dancing) and it was a blast! If you haven't tried it, give it some consideration. Great fun and exercise and you can't beat the music!
We have another three weeks here. Then it's off toward Nebraska, probably through Nevada, Utah and Colorado. We hope to see some old friends in all those places.

We love Scottish Country Dancing! And have found a fun group here in Los Angeles. They've welcomed us warmly as do most dancers everywhere. Last Saturday we danced for about 3 hours at the Scottish Luau in Eagle Rock, CA. Here are some of our new friends in their "Hawaiian" best! We had a wonderful time.
Last Saturday we moved a few miles over to East Shore RV in San Dimas, near Pomona, on Puddingstone Lake. As you can see, the view is outstanding! The evening temps have been 65, and we haven't used the A/C much here at all. Imagine that, Texans! We've gone hiking several times, biking once and have been able to just enjoy the surroundings a bunch. Sabrina is very busy working on the picture; we've gotten together only a few times. There's a Scottish Country Dance this Saturday; we've been preparing for it with the local dance group in Eagle Rock, near Pasadena.
Meg and I celebrated our birthdays this week, she on the 30th, I on the 31st. Sabrina planned the day of surprises!
