Capitol Reef National Park

We had not heard of this national park until this trip and some friends, the Smiths of Lincoln, NE, who joined up with us in Utah, told us about it. It's a beautiful area of our country and its chief feature is a "fold" of earth over 100 miles in length. Check it out further at http://www.nps.gov/care

This one is called the "Egyptian Temple." You can see most of the sites in a day of driving but there are many interesting hikes and a lovely camping area in the park that could interest you for several days.

That includes these Indian petroglyphs, or drawings, that are in the park's boundaries.

Thanks for following our travels.
